Buckley Quarter Horses is located at 88 Hollowell Road in the quaint town of Preston Connecticut in close proximity to the Foxwoods, MGM, and Mohegan Sun casinos.  Buckley Quarter horses is home to multiple World and Congress champion and reserve champion quarter horses. 

The facility offers 38 top quality stalls, a 100’ x 200’ indoor arena, a 120’ x 200’ outdoor sand arena, hot walkers, round pens and over 38 acres of pristine turn-out.  Customers are treated to daily lessons to prepare for quarter horse shows as well as trail rides, clinics and instruction on all areas of show. 

The facility is run by William (Buster) Buckley Junior and his father William Buckley Senior.  Buster Buckley has been training champion quarter horses for over 15 years and has trained and achieved countless top ten congress champion horses in hunt seat, western pleasure, and pattern classes. Buster’s customers have achieved NSBA overall high-point championships, championships in hunter under saddle as well as top ten finalists in western pleasure at the All American Quarter horse congress.

William Buckley Senior (Bill) has been a highly regarded AQHA judge for over 25 years and has been training horses for over 30 years.  Bill’s experience judging quarter horses allows him to coach his customers in the finer points of showing American Quarter Horses.  Bill specializes in reining, breaking and training young horses, as well as showmanship and western pleasure. 

Buckley quarter horses is also proud to announce the addition of two new trainers Tara Green and Kristin DiMarco . 

Tara Green has been showing horses for more than 20 years and has achieved 7 Congress championships including an all-around title.  This year (2009) Tara has decided to make horse training and showing her profession.  Tara enjoys working with her clients and has already achieved ROM’s and Top Ten Futurity titles for her customers.

Kristin DiMarco has achieved multiple top ten and congress championships in trail, horsemanship, and showmanship.  Kristen is able to apply her first hand experience in pattern classes in helping customers of Buckley Quarter Horses evolve single discipline horses into all-around champions. 

In addition to competitive horse showing training, Buckley Quarter Horses has many customers that enjoy trail riding, attending local shows, and spending free time with their horses.  Buckley Quarter Horses allows customers access to the farm 24 hours a day 7 days a week and will customize programs to fit your needs and desires.  We welcome visitors and would enjoy the opportunity to show you around our facility.
